1 | Chickpeas are Nutritious

High in protein and fibre, they also contribute micronutrients such as calcium, iron, selenium and magnesium to the diet.

Most of the fibre in chickpeas is insoluble fibre. Insoluble fibre  has been found to have many health benefits including: Improved digestion, protection from bowel cancer  and blood sugar control.

2 | Chickpeas are Cheap

Chickpeas are really economical so having a chickpea based meal is a really great way to keep food costs down

3 | Chickpeas are Easy

You can buy good quality canned chickpeas, if you drain and rinse them (to remove the brine) they make a super quick and convenient food. No mess, no chopping, no prep.
