Christmas Popcorn

This Christmas Popcorn recipe is easy to make and fun to eat, with its vibrant colours of white, red and green it is a lovely treat to serve during the holiday season.

Popcorn is a regular snack for my school-aged kids, we love cinnamon popcorn, cheese popcorn and homemade microwave popcorn,

  • Popcorn: Pop popcorn kernels following the instructions on the pack or use my microwave popcorn method.

Step-by-step instructions

Below are illustrated step-by-step instructions to make my Christmas Popcorn recipe, if you prefer just the written instructions then head straight to the printable recipe card below.

Step one: Line a rimmed baking tray with baking paper / parchment paper. 

Spread the popped popcorn over the lined baking sheet. Remove any unpopped kernels.

Step two: Melt the white chocolate, I do this in the microwave. I microwave the white chocolate in a microwave proof bowl on high power for 30 second bursts, stirring between each burst until melted

Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the popcorn.

Step three: Sprinkle the chopped pistachios, crumbled freeze dried raspberries and dried cranberries over the white chocolate drizzled popcorn.

Step Four:  Leave the popcorn to rest until the white chocolate has cooled and hardened. Break up the popcorn into bite sized pieces, transfer into a serving bow, or store in an airtight container until you are ready to serve your Christmas Popcorn.

Tips & Tricks

Here is how you can make this White Chocolate Christmas Popcorn perfectly every time!

  • Make sure your popcorn is fully cool before making this recipe, if it is still warm the white chocolate will not set well.
  • Fill a glass jar with the finished popcorn, add a ribbon and you have got a lovely gift.

How To Make This Recipe Suitable For Baby-Led-Weaning

  • Popcorn is not suitable for baby-led weaning. This recipe can not be adapted to be suitable as popcorn presents a choking hazard for young children. My strawberry santas could be a fun alternative for little ones.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups popcorn already popped
  • ยฝ cup white chocolate drops
  • ยผ cup pistachios chopped
  • ยผ cup dried cranberries
  • ยผ cup freeze dried raspberries crumbled

Instructions
