Ingredient Notes and Substitutes

  • Peaches: I use canned peaches but you could use fresh peaches.
  • Banana: This smoothie is even better if you use a frozen banana, it makes the smoothie taste like it has been made with ice cream. Bananas have even more natural sweetness than fresh bananas.
  • Milk: I use cow's milk but if you need this recipe to be dairy-free or vegan you can use any non dairy milk such as almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk, soy milk or cashew milk could be used.
  • Honey: Maple syrup can be used instead of honey.

Tips & FAQs

Here is how you can make this peach smoothie recipe perfectly every time!

  • Add ยผ cup of rolled oats to this smoothie to make it perfect for a breakfast on a go.
  • This smoothie works well with a spoonful of almond butter, chia seeds, flax seeds or hemp seeds. They will add nutritional goodies such as protein, healthy fats and fiber.
Do you have to peel peaches for a smoothie?

No you do not! Peach peel is fine in a smoothie and does not change the flavor, although you may get a smoother texture if they are peeled.

How To Make This Recipe Suitable For Baby-Led-Weaning

  • If you are making this recipe for a baby under one, do not use honey as a sweetener, you can use maple syrup instead or skip extra sweeteners entirely.
  • If your child is under one year of age smoothies should not be used to substitute a 'milk feed' until this time all 'milk feeds' should either be breast milk or an appropriate infant formula.
