An easy white chocolate mousse with blueberries, a make in advance dessert that looks so nice served in a glass.

Ingredients you will need

To make this white chocolate mousse with blueberries you will need 5 ingredients. Cream, white chocolate, and gelatine form the base. Fresh blueberries for colour and lemon zest brings a little flavour.

Ingredient Notes and Substitutes

  • Gelatine: This can be substituted for agar agar.
  • Lemon zest: Not essential can be skipped

Step by step instructions

Below are illustrated step-by-step instructions to make my ** Recipe cookies, if you prefer just the written instructions then head straight to the printable recipe card below.

Step one: Measure the water into a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatine powder over the top of the water, and set aside. The gelatine will absorb the water, this will take 5-10 minutes.

Step two: In a saucepan combine the cream, white chocolate, and strip of lemon zest. Heat the cream over a low heat whilst stirring until the white chocolate has melted.

Step three: Remove the lemon zest, then add the activated gelatine to the warm cream and chocolate. Stir over a low heat for 1 minute.

Step four: Remove the saucepan from the heat and beat the mousse for 3 minutes at low speed, or use your elbow grease and whisk the mouse by hand. This helps cool the mousse.

Step five: Divide the blueberries and place in the bottom of six glasses.

Step six: Pour the white chocolate mousse over the blueberries, dividing the mix evenly amongst the four glasses. Chill in the refrigerator for 60 minutes before serving. This mousse can also be prepared 24-48 hours in advance if you wish

Enjoy! Garnish with additional fresh blueberries and baby mint leaves if you wish.

Top Tips

Here is how you can make this white chocolate mousse perfectly every time!

  • For a more Christmas look, try using a red berry like a raspberry.
  • You can use this exact recipe but sub in your favourite chocolate ie milk or dark.

This white chocolate mousse is a great dessert when you are entertaining a crowd as it can be made in advance. My tiramisu cups, yogurt parfaits and white chocolate cheesecake are all easy desserts that you can make in advance.

Ingredients

  • 190 g white chocolate
  • 5 cm lemon zest
  • 125 g blueberries 1 small punnet, 1 cup
