Top Tips

Here is how you can make these savoury scones perfectly every time!

Be gentle with the dough, scone dough does not need to be kneaded, in fact, it is best if you don't. Once the dough has come together gently shape and cut your scones.

How long do scones last?

Scones are best fresh from the oven, they will be ok to eat the day after baking, but the best advice is to eat them quickly.

I've made this recipe a few times now and I've had great results. Works out wonderful made as per the recipe and they were delicious served with slow cooked lamb shanks. I've also made without the ham and with no cheese on top and on another occasion I added dried herbs instead of fresh. Great results every time and super quick and easy to make (love the fact that there is no kneading with scones). I also halved the measurements as I only wanted a small amount and I still got 5 lovely large scones. This is my go to recipe for savoury scones.
