Step one: In a large bowl mix together the self-raising flour, the grated cheese, ham and chives
Step two: Add the soda water and cream, and combine gently with a wooden spoon. It should come together into a large bowl.
Step three: Tip your ball of scone dough onto a floured surface. Gently work the dough into a sheet that's approximately 3cm thick (just over an inch) you can either cut your scones into squares with a knife or use a round cookie cutter for round scones.

Made these and they were a wild hit! Made a batch with raisins and a batch with cinnamon and apple too. So easy!
I've made this recipe a few times now and I've had great results. Works out wonderful made as per the recipe and they were delicious served with slow cooked lamb shanks. I've also made without the ham and with no cheese on top and on another occasion I added dried herbs instead of fresh. Great results every time and super quick and easy to make (love the fact that there is no kneading with scones). I also halved the measurements as I only wanted a small amount and I still got 5 lovely large scones. This is my go to recipe for savoury scones.
