Alternatives | Substitutions | Modifications
- Smoked paprika: If you can't get smoked paprika you can substitute for sweet or piquant paprika. But the smoked stuff gives the best flavor!
- Cocoa powder: This is my secret ingredient, cocoa adds richness, depth of flavor, amazing color and umami flavor.
- Garlic powder: This can be substituted for onion powder.
- Chilli flakes: (Red pepper flakes) Add as little or as much as you like depending on your family's love of spice! You can also substitute this for chilli powder.
