Carrot Fries
Ovan baked carrot fries, are my fav way to serve carrots. My kids gobble them up as a veggie side at dinner but are also quite partial to them as a snack with a dip.

Ingredients you will need
To make my carrot fries you will need:
- carrots
- olive oil
- cornflour
- parmesan
- paprika
- garlic powder
- salt
- parsley flakes
Ingredients Notes & Substitutions
- Paprika: This recipe will work with either smoked paprika or sweet paprika, so just use what you have or what you prefer.
- Parmesan: I tend to use powdered parmesan as its a bit dryer, but you can definitely finely grate parmesan if you prefer
- Parsley flakes: Fresh parsley is also lovely if you have it in season.
How to make Oven-Baked Carrot Fries

Prep: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 F) and line a baking tray. Peel and slice your carrots into batons, reminiscent of french fries (not shoestring fires, a bit chunkier).
Step one: In a large bowl (big enough to hold the carrots) add the oil, cornflour, parmesan, paprika and garlic powder, and whisk to combine, it will become a paste.
Step two: Add the carrots to the bowl and toss until the carrots are well coated in the spices. I find this is best to be done with your hands, as you really need to rub the carrots in the paste.
Step three: Spread your carrots in a single layer over the lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes. You will know the carrots are ready when they are tender (cooked through, but have some crispy and blackened in a few spots.
Step four: Sprinkle the carrots with the parsley flakes and additional salt and pepper if required.

How to make Air Fryer Carrot Fries
If you would prefer to cook your fries in your air fryer, no problem!
- Prepare and season your carrots as per the instructions above.
- Spread your carrot sticks in a single layer in your air fryer basket, air fry at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes. You will know the carrots are ready when they are tender (cooked through, but have some crispy and blackened in a few spots.
- Sprinkle the fries with parsley flakes and additional salt if needed

Peel a medium carrot, cut it in half lengthwise, then cut each half into quarters lengthwise, you will end up with long batons that are perfect chips.
