Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. The most efficient way to get a smooth consistency is to start on low speed until all the ingredients are well combined and large chunks are gone before increasing the speed to high.

If you are keen to try frozen zucchini in a smoothie but don't want the green colour that the zucchini peel will add to the smoothie then try peeling the zucchini before you freeze it.
This smoothie tastes great, but with it's greenish color some kids can be put off before trying it. An opaque smoothie cup can help with this, I use a double walled stainless steel cup with a silicone straw not just to keep my kids smoothies cool but also to disguise any unusual colors.
Apple juice: My kids like this smoothie made with an apple juice base. However, you could use pineapple juice, orange juice guava juice a store-bought tropical fruit juice or coconut coconut water if you prefer.
Frozen mango: In New Zealand, fresh mangos are not plentiful year-round, which is why I use frozen. But if you are lucky to live somewhere with heaps of mangos then using fresh would be delicious.
Pineapple: Be sure to choose a sweet juicy pineapple, making sure to remove all the peel and hard core before adding it to the smoothie.
Frozen zucchini: Adding frozen zucchini/courgette to a smoothie is one of my favourite hacks! Zucchini is a mild-tasting vegetable so it doesn't change the taste of the smoothie, if it is frozen it just adds a creamy texture.
Banana: In this recipe use other frozen fruit and vegetables therefore I chose to use fresh banana. I often use frozen banana in my smoothie as it makes smoothies thick and sweet, but with the other frozen items I found using frozen banana made the smoothie too thick.
If you are making this recipe for a baby under one, consider using water instead of apple juice as the liquid as this will reduce the sugar content of the smoothie.
