Making this smoothie is very simple, so there aren't many tips related to the making of it.
If your child is not fond of green-coloured foods or veggies, try serving the smoothie in an opaque cup to start with, as it may well taste less 'green' than they would expect.
Baby spinach leaves: This recipe will work with regular fresh spinach leaves or other leafy greens such as kale, however, baby spinach leaves are mild in flavour
Banana ripe: The riper the better, for an even creamier smoothie try making it with a frozen banana.
Pineapple: I used fresh pineapple for natural sweetness but frozen fruit or drained tinned pineapple will also work. Mango or peaches also work well in this smoothie.
Lemon juice: A touch of acid makes the flavor of this green smoothie even better, it highlights the pineapple and also helps the smoothie retain its vibrant green colour.
Water: This can be substituted for coconut water.
Chia seeds: These are not essential the smoothie will taste delicious without them, but they do add nutrients such as fiber, calcium, iron, and magnesium. Hemp hearts or flax seeds would also work well.
