Cook the first measure of peas as per the packet instruction.
Place all the ingredients in a food processor
Blitz until smooth
If you want a more liquid consistency add a little more oil. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
Pea Pasta
Put the pasta onto cook as per the packet instructions. 2 Minutes before the pasta is cooked add the second measure of peas to the pasta pot.
Once your pasta is al dente and the peas are tender, drain reserving about ½ a cup of the pasta cooking water.
Transfer the drained pasta and peas to a bowl, add the pea pesto sauce and approximately ¼ cup of the pasta water, and toss the pasta so that it is well coated with the pesto sauce. If the pasta is a little dry, add more of the reserved pasta water until the pesto pasta has the consistency you want.
