Hummus Crackers

This hummus cracker recipe is an easy way to make homemade crackers. Because what's better than hummus and crackers, hummus in your cracker of course!

Ingredients

  • 175 grams Hummus
  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats 100 grams

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius, 360 Fahrenheit
  • Use a food processor to blitz your rolled oats until they are fine. (oat flour)
  • Add the hummus, pulse until the cracker dough forms a ball.
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the dough on top, Place a second piece of baking paper on top of the dough
  • Press the dough with your hands to start flattening it
  • Using a rolling pin, roll until it is evenly spread over the baking tray and approximately 4mm thick
  • Score the dough into cracker shaped pieces, I use a a knife or pizza roller to do this
  • Bake at 180 degrees celsius  360 Fahrenheit for 30 minutes or until golden
  • Leave to cool, preferably on a wire rack
  • Snap the crackers along the score marks

Notes

Oat flour is just finely ground rolled oats. I just blitz rolled oats in a food processor to make my own.  This recipe is wheat free but not gluten free if traditional oats are used.
