Ingredients

  • 1 banana very ripe
  • 360 mililitres milk
  • 2 Tablespoons skim milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch turmeric

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until completely smooth.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • The real secret is ripe bananas! If you want to ripen bananas in a hurry, pop them in a brown paper bag and leave them in a warm spot. They will ripen quickly (often overnight)
  • Banana: make sure your banana is very ripe, this will give your banana milk the most sweetness and flavour.
  • Milk: Use your favourite milk
  • Skim milk powder: Skim milk powder adds extra protein, calcium and a creaminess to the banana milk
  • Honey: This can be substituted for your favourite sweetener or left out depending on your palate. Alternatives include maple syrup, coconut sugar, granulated sugar.
  • Turmeric: I just add this for the glorious golden colour it gives, but it can be left out.
