Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup popcorn kernels aprroximately 6 cups of popped popcorn
  • 4 Tablespoons parmesan cheese 30g, powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard powder

Instructions

  • Heat the oil over medium heat in a large pot (that you have a lid for). Add 2 or 3 of the popcorn kernel into the o.il
  • When the popcorn kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels, put the lid on the pot and reduce the temperature to low. The popcorn should start popping, give the pot the odd shake, and leave it on the low heat until the popping slows, this should only take a couple of minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, remove the lid and allow the popcorn to cool.
  • In a small bowl combine the parmesan, salt, onion powder and mustard powder.
  • Once the popcorn is cool, add the parmesan cheese popcorn seasoning mix to the pot and shake well so that all the popcorn is well seasoned.
  • Serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the popcorn is cool before you add the powdered parmesan, otherwise it melts and balls together in a big lump.
  • Serve it on an antipasto platter, as a fun family movie snack or in kids' lunchboxes.
