Top Tips

Here is how you can make these hummus crackers perfectly every time!

  • Roll the cracker dough out evenly, that way you get an evenly baked cracker, and one perfectly fat to add toppings onto!
  • Flavoured hummuses work well as well, we love using smoked hummus to make these crackers, but all flavours work.
  • Once cool, store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Pack them in school lunchboxes for a nutritious snack.

Notes

Oat flour is just finely ground rolled oats. I just blitz rolled oats in a food processor to make my own.  This recipe is wheat free but not gluten free if traditional oats are used.

  1. You are my new favourite person! I made this for my PICKY 1 year old and he loves them! Thank you!

  2. Very nice. I make my own hummus --I have potatoes, beets, chickpeas ready now --and will add oats.

I need to avoid the salt and oil in store bought hummus, and I like making my own anyway. Today I will add oats!

  3. This recipe couldn't have come at a better time. I cooked dried chickpeas last week. Already to make hummus. Discovered I didn't have lemon juice so used apple cider vinegar. Unfortunately I added to much and it cuts the mouth.
Maybe crackers will reduce the acidity and have a milder flavour?
