Hello and welcome to the First Friday Kid Food Find. It’s the second Friday of June 2017 and I thought I would try something new. I hope you will enjoy it, join in, and make it great.
Each week I will be putting together a post of my Favourite Kid Food Finds for that week. Sometimes it will have a theme, sometimes it will literally just be my favourite kid food ideas I have seen on social media, Pinterest, or on fellow bloggers websites.
Bloggers this is a link up, all the info is down the bottom.
The kid food ideas that grabbed my attention this week
It was my daughters second birthday this week. She is the youngest of three, so as of this week I have a 2 year old, 3 year old and 4 year old. Because it was a birthday week I was on the hunt for little ideas to make my munchkins birthday a little bit more memorable
1. Belgian waffles
I loved these Belgian waffles with fruit and yoghurt for breakfast that I first spied on More Than Just Carrots Facebook page Made from a family recipe, they look gorgeous but she has seriously managed to reduce the sugar content. We all had them for birthday breakfast and they were loved!
2. Super Healthy Rainbow Sprinkles
This little video on how to make healthy rainbow sprinkles from Baby Led Feeding is such a clever idea. Her facebook is brilliant, but her blog is also amazing, so make sure to check it out. I made these sprinkles, and to be honest pretty much sprinkled them on everything that was eaten on birthday day.
3. Ocean Themed Snacks
Honestly, when it comes to themed snacks, you can’t go past Fork and Beans. These ocean themed snack ideas made with hummus are adorable! Her photos are always incredible so be sure to look at her site for other snack ideas too. For afternoon tea I went above and beyond and made the rice cake fish for my munchkins!
4. Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake
Yum, yum yum, this week I made a birthday cake for my daughter, and this is the chocolate cake recipe from Kiddielicious Kitchen that I used. It worked brilliantly was so moist, and was totally gobbled up. I turned mine into a sheep.. he he (that is meant to be a giggle), you will have to wait to see the pictures of Murray the sheep.
